Cusco/Sacred Valley
Trekking, Andes, History & Culture, Camping
This trip will take you on a stunning journey through the Andes to the last bastion of the Incas, the lost city of Choquequirao.
Hidden deep in the mountains, this citadel is where the Incas fled to when Cusco was under siege from the Conquistadores in 1535. With only 30% of it now uncovered and less known than Machu Picchu, reaching here is a true adventure. You'll reach it just like the Incas themselves did, by trekking there through the magnificent Andes, along the way you'll pass through breathtaking mountain valleys and take in a spectacular variety of ecosystems. You'll be accompanied by a team of donkeys who'll carry your bags, and an expert local guide. As well as this you'll spent 3 nights camping out beneath the stars.
Visiting Choquequirao is the mystical kind of adventure that only Peru can offer, let True Peru take you there.
